DHA Licensing for Ayurveda Doctors — Dubai

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licenses Ayurveda doctors under the "Traditional / Complementary Medicine" track. A valid BAMS + 2 years experience is the floor; MD/MS Ayurveda holders may bypass the assessment.

BAMS from a recognised university (CCIM/NCISM listed)
Minimum 2 years post-internship clinical experience
Valid CCIM / KSMC registration (active)
IELTS Academic 5.0+ or equivalent English proficiency (for some routes)

Exam

DHA Prometric assessment (computer-based). 100 MCQs · 150 minutes · pass mark 60%. Exempt if you hold MD/MS Ayurveda + 5 years experience.

2. Submit Primary Source Verification (PSV via Dataflow)
3. Sit DHA Prometric exam (or apply for exemption)
4. Receive eligibility letter
5. Submit job offer + employer activation
6. Receive DHA Professional License

Tips

Apply for PSV via Dataflow in parallel with the exam booking — saves 4 weeks
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS) certificate is mandatory for licensing
Activation is tied to a sponsoring facility; you cannot work freelance on a base DHA license
