Patient presentation
Chief complaint: Recurrent wheezing + cough + chest tightness for 2 years. Worse early morning + with cold exposure. Tried inhalers — wants Ayurveda to reduce dependence.
History: Atopic family. Childhood eczema. Allergic rhinitis. Asthma diagnosed 2 years ago. Currently on budesonide-formoterol inhaler bd + albuterol SOS. Uses 2-3 SOS puffs daily. ER visit once last winter. Spirometry: FEV1 78% predicted, post-bronchodilator improvement 18%. IgE elevated.
